ChemZoo Goes Global: Presenting at Embassy Talks in Washington, D.C.

On March 31 2026, ChemZoo had the incredible opportunity to be featured at Embassy Talks, a youth-led global leadership event in Washington, D.C., hosted in partnership with the Embassy of Panama to the Organization of American States.

What started as a local initiative—bringing hands-on chemistry experiments to classrooms—was shared on an international stage.

The opportunity came through the International Young Leaders Council, who invited ChemZoo to be one of three youth initiatives highlighted at the event. Embassy Talks brought together student changemakers, diplomats from South America, and community leaders to explore how young people are creating impact in their communities and beyond.

At the event, ChemZoo was presented in front of Ana Irene Delgado, who opened the program. Ana Irene Delgado is a Panamanian lawyer, diplomat, and politician who has served as Panama’s ambassador to the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Iceland, as well as the country’s representative to the International Maritime Organization. She currently serves as Panama’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the Organization of American States (OAS). Sharing ChemZoo in this setting was a powerful moment—it showed that improving access to STEM education isn’t just a local issue, but a global one

ChemZoo’s mission has always been simple: make science accessible, engaging, and exciting for every student. Through interactive experiments and student-led teaching, we aim to spark curiosity and build confidence in classrooms that may not always have access to hands-on STEM learning.

Being part of Embassy Talks reinforced something important: the challenges ChemZoo addresses—like unequal access to STEM opportunities—exist around the world. But so do the solutions. Youth-led initiatives like ChemZoo are proving that small, consistent efforts can create meaningful change.

This experience marks an exciting step forward for ChemZoo. As we continue working in local classrooms, we are also beginning to think bigger—exploring how we can collaborate with other youth leaders and expand access to hands-on science education even further.

From local classrooms to global conversations, ChemZoo is just getting started.
